Restaurants in town

This year (2023), there are a couple of options for dining in town.

• The Clubhouse Restaurant and Café at our local Golf course is open 7 days week this summer 2023. For details on opening days and hours, the best is to check their Facebook page.

• Another dining option is "Beaches Restaurant", located at Northern Shores Lodging (phone number 250 637 2233) is open 5 days a week, closed Wed/Thur. It is best to call them ahead to confirm their opening days/hours.

• Another possible dining option is "Raincoast Breads". By reservation only.

• There is a small Café inside the airport terminal called "Shingle Bay Bistro", usually open during the day, and every day except stat holidays/special occasions.

• There is also a food truck called "I Love Local", which is unfortunately not opened this year. 

• Super-Valu, our wonderful local grocery store, has a small selection of premade meals/sandwiches.

Please note that there are no early breakfast options anywhere in town, and cooking your own breakfast will be your only option if you leave early on a tour.

Cooking at the Bayview Garden

​

Sandspit has some limited dining options and there are at the moment no breakfast options in town before a tour.

However, our guests all have access to a fully equipped kitchen and can use it to cook all their meals.

 

It is preferable for our guests to bring their own food or to purchase their dinner/breakfast items at our friendly and well stocked local grocery store, Super-Valu. Please note the store is closed on statutory holidays, but is usually open 7 days a week, 10am to 6pm Mon to Sat and closing at 4pm on Sundays.

The kitchen is kept tidy and clean and we ask our guests to help keep it that way.

The kitchen is available from 6:00am to 10:30pm. Quiet time throughout the property is from 10:00pm to 6:30am.

The kitchen is for our guest use only: guests are not sharing with the owners, as we have our own living quarters. During their stay, our guests can bring and store their own food items in the kitchen's fridge and cupboards. We however cannot store food in our fridge and freezer when guests leave on a tour, and items left will be removed.

We have a limited selection of breakfast and dinner items for sale for those who would like to cook their own breakfast or dinner and did not bring their own food, or got in too late to go to our local grocery store. We prefer to organize those ingredients at the time of your stay, and not in advance as part of your booking.

As an FYI, here are some options we usually have for sale at the Bayview Garden. Please note this can be updated without notice, at any time. This offer is mostly available during the Summer season and may not be available in the shoulder/winter season.
