COVID 19 UPDATE
March 24th, 2021 UPDATED RELEASE
The pandemic is of course still affecting us all and Haida Gwaii remains closed to visitors until further notice.
Bayview Garden also will remain closed to off-island visitors for the time being, unless those visitors are essential workers and a stay has been arranged well in advance.
With the new ongoing vaccination campaigns, there are hopes that the islands might open up to tourism in the coming months, but no formal decisions have yet been made by the local governments.
STAYCATION
While we did welcome "staycationers" last summer, the developments in Covid19 cases on islands have made us decide to turn down requests from local travelers for the next while, until further notice.
TRAVEL AND TRANSPORTATION
For off-island visitors, please note there are still no Air Canada flights operating to Haida Gwaii (However, there are flights operated by Pacific Coastal serving Masset), and BC ferries still enforces some travel limitations to non-residents.
Air Canada has recently announced that flights should resume by June 22nd, 2021.
GWAII HAANAS
Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve is currently closed, and may reopen for the summer (potentially with some restrictions), but without any guarantees for the moment.
BOOKINGS
We are currently accepting bookings for the summer.
For all our guests who book with us this year and have to cancel their trips, we hope to see you all next season...
As a reminder, we do not take deposits or credit card numbers for our bookings. If you had a booking with us, please contact us to let us know you will not be coming, but no further action is required on your part.
